Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.
I Corinthians 12:4
The gifts I give may seem strange to you, My child. But they are expressions of My love and mercy. Sometimes I give the gift of suffering with Me—a privilege I offer to those who can bear it. You cannot understand this mystery with your natural mind any more than you can understand how My death on the cross can bring salvation to the world. But your spirit can affirm My goodness in what
I bring or allow—for hidden within it all is the gift of My love.
Your gift-giving has a mixture of good and bad in it. You are interested in bringing joy and happiness to your loved ones, but you also know that your gifts fall wide of the mark. They can only bring pleasure for a season—and a pleasure mixed with dissatisfaction. I do not let such worries interfere with My gifts, because I know the end for which I give them is good and will work eternal joy in My children when they have accomplished their goal.
