December 31 Echoes of Eternity
They said unto Him, Rabbi (which is to say, being interpreted, Master), where dwellest thou? He saith unto them, Come and see.
John 1:38,39
The way before you is a good way. You do not need to see the distant views, but keep your eye on the present choices. I have not called you to be a purposeless wasteland, but to be a fruitful field, to bear fruit for My kingdom. You do not need to know where or how this will come about. Your pride must not be fed in the process. But I will tell you this—you do not need to fear being left adrift or
cast aside. Those are thoughts of self, and they have no place in our relationship. So be about My business. Put aside the murmurings of your old nature, your yearnings for gratification which you sought in “place” and “respect.” Let go these things for My sake, and each time you feel a wound, bring it to me for forgiveness. Pride dies hard, so don’t be surprised that it is still struggling for life in you.
