{"id":1638,"date":"2015-12-28T11:17:20","date_gmt":"2015-12-28T16:17:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.paracletepress.com\/index.php\/pastoral-dialogue\/"},"modified":"2015-12-28T11:17:20","modified_gmt":"2015-12-28T16:17:20","slug":"pastoral-dialogue","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.paracletepress.com\/index.php\/pastoral-dialogue\/","title":{"rendered":"Pastoral Dialogue"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div><em>By Sr. Fidelis<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>The Lauds Antiphons for Christmas Day and Week begin with an amazing question: &#8220;Whom did you see, shepherds?&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>The drama of the text is heightened as a second question follows. &#8220;Speak: Announce to us who has appeared on the earth?&#8221; Then the answer comes from all the shepherds, &#8220;We have seen the newborn One, and choirs of angels praising God together, alleluia, alleluia&#8221;.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>This wonderful bit of dialogue puts us right in the scene!
