But I do love to doodle and to add color to my\u00a0doodles. A\u00a0dozen years ago I combined\u00a0my doodling with a desperate\u00a0need to pray for my friends and started to \u201cpray in color\u201d by accident. My\u00a0accidental way to pray became my regular, intentional way to pray\u00a0and I wrote the book <em>Praying in Color: Drawing a New Path to God<\/em>\u00a0(2007).<\/div>\n<\/header>\n<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<p>I figured if even I could doodle, anyone could. After leading more than 150 workshops and retreats, I have met people who are uncomfortable even doodling. But many of them like to color. So I drew\u00a0some coloring pages\u00a0with ideas about how to pray using the pages and posted them on this blog. They are in the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/prayingincolor.com\/handouts\" target=\"_blank\">Handouts <\/a>section.\u00a0In the past six months I drew\u00a032 coloring pages\/templates with about 30 pages of prayer\u00a0instructions and\u00a0the result is\u00a0a \u201cpraying in color\u201d coloring book called <em>Pray and Color: A Coloring Book and Guide to Prayer.\u00a0<\/em>It will be available mid-May for purchase but can be pre-ordered on the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Pray-Color-coloring-best-selling-Praying\/dp\/1612618278\/ref=sr_1_2?s=books&amp;ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1461163439&amp;sr=1-2&amp;keywords=Pray+and+color\" target=\"_blank\">amazon<\/a>\u00a0or<a href=\"http:\/\/www.paracletepress.com\/pray-and-color-a-coloring-book-and-guide-to-prayer-by-the-best-selling-author-of-praying-in-color.html\" target=\"_blank\"> Paraclete Press<\/a> websites.<\/p>\n<p>Here is the cover.
