{"id":593,"date":"2014-09-17T03:00:53","date_gmt":"2014-09-17T07:00:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.paracletepress.com\/index.php\/unburdening-like-the-rising-mist\/"},"modified":"2014-09-17T03:00:53","modified_gmt":"2014-09-17T07:00:53","slug":"unburdening-like-the-rising-mist","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.paracletepress.com\/index.php\/unburdening-like-the-rising-mist\/","title":{"rendered":"Unburdening \u2014 Like The Rising Mist"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>By Renaissance Girl<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve always been intrigued by the verse in Genesis that says, &#8220;but there went up a mist from the earth and watered the whole face of the ground.&#8221; It puts this beautiful image in my mind of the Garden of Eden, colors alive with newness, in full bloom, and a fine mist hovering over it all catching the light. (I wonder if God gave a sneak preview of his rainbow).<\/p>\n<p>I was up before the sun this morning &#8212; working on a project until it was time to take my dog out. I went a slightly different route than normal and arrived at the harbor around 6:30. The sun had just barely left the horizon, and was splashing the water with streaks of pink and gold. I stopped and my dog sat quietly. I turned my head to look towards the end of the harbor and there it was. Rising up from the water was a fine layer of mist, gently moving with the currents of air and rising to follow the sun.
