My voice is a still, small voice. I speak in tones designed to carry out My will. Your ear is still too much attuned to your own voice and the voice of the world. Silence is essential to tuning in to My words to you. Do not think the time wasted in waiting. Do not grow impatient or disheartened that it takes you so long. Remember how long you have lived without this necessary preparation\u2014and how sporadic and scattered were the<br \/> times you \u201cheard\u201d My voice. I have had to speak in \u201cloud\u201d tones of circumstances\u2014some of them drastic\u2014to guide you in My chosen way. But I would prefer to speak in the still, small voice, and see you willingly hear and obey.
