May 31 Echoes of Eternity
By faith . . . he endured as seeing Him who is invisible.
Hebrews 11:27
Behold and see. Yes, how often have I called you in this way—to awaken your sluggish heart, to see beyond the natural sight of your eyes. “Seeing the invisible.” But you have resisted the call, because it threatens the easy, surface look you have preferred. This is a handicap in your spiritual growth, a form of spiritual blindness.
You do not need to fear looking into the depths of your own soul. Your sins are forgiven. I remember them no more against you! You need only to see them to remember the pit from which you have been rescued, and the nature into which you lapse if you depart from Me. But I do not call you to a fearful walk. “My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” I seek maturity and trust—growing trust—in your relationship with Me. Look beyond—see the invisible realities that I have placed in your view.
